Obituary for Ray Holland
Ray Carlton Holland, Sr., 84, relocated to his home in heaven on June 4, 2017. He was born in Oklahoma City to Archie and Evie Holland on January 3, 1933. He so loved his Lord Jesus Christ, his Rosie, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and his church family and many dear friends.
He enjoyed participating in all sports, playing softball until 58 years of age. He enjoyed watching his sports events, OSU Cowboys, Thunder, St. Louis Cardinals, his John Wayne westerns, eating breakfast at Mom’s and life in general.
He is survived by his wife Rozanne (Rosie) Brock Holland, of 63 years. Three children Linda Heddleston (Bobby), Sandy Colasacco (Keith), and Ray Holland Jr. (Trevi), 9 grandchildren, Chris (Melissa), Jennifer (Steve), Donnie (Ashley),Christina (Kevin), Diana (Chris), Katherine (Allan), Tony (Melissa) and three year old Asher and Beau Holland, 18 great-grands (one spouse) and 2 great-great-grands. He was blessed with 5 generations of family who loved him so. A special blessing to Ray’s life was his niece, Myra, nephew, Matt and lifelong friends Robert E. Park and Phil Bailey.
Thank you Ray for your caring heart of everyone. You never met a stranger and you were a friend to all. Thank you Ray, for always being a good listener and for being such a good example to all of the youth you mentored through the years. Thank you Ray for a life well lived.
A private family burial will be held 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Stillwater, OK. A memorial service will follow at the Crosspointe Church on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. 1807 North Jardot.
