Marjorie Lou Friedemann, 91, died on May 21, 2018 at her home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Sunnybrook Christian Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on August 19, 1926 to William H. Beavers and Edna Mae Beavers in Maramec, Oklahoma. She married Ernest Friedemann on November 17, 1946, in Yale, Oklahoma.
After she graduated high school, Marjorie was a devoted wife of Ernest Friedemann for 59 years. Marjorie was a volunteer at Stillwater Medical Center for 46 years. She enjoyed arts and crafts including pottery. She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. In her younger years, she enjoyed hunting with her husband and fishing with her parents. Marjorie loved all animals (except snakes) and read voraciously in her spare time. She imparted her love of books to all of her children. She loved her Lord and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and later, Sunnybrook Christian Church.
Marjorie was an outgoing person, who never met a stranger.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Marjorie’s caretaker for the last two years. Thank you, Dawn Jardot and Donnie Henager, who are now a part of the family. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ernest Friedemann.
She is survived by her two sons, Randall (Chrissi) Friedemann of Stillwater, OK and Michael (Lisa) Friedemann of Rocheport, Missouri; one daughter, Vicki Friedemann of Jones, OK; grandchild, Sara (Wes) Dawson of Glencoe, one brother, Loren (Kathy) Beavers; and one sister, Eulonda Moon of Cushing, OK.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Beavers, Sonny Rains, Les Stufflebeam, Kevin Stufflebeam, Larry Thomas, and Pat Withrow.
