Obituary

Joseph Edward Wierzbicki, age 78, of Stillwater, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Oklahoma City. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Strode Funeral Home and Cremation.

Pallbearers are John Mouring, Stan Wierzbicki, Joseph Wierzbicki, Paul Mouring, Chris Mouring, Matt Wierzbicki, Michael Wierzbicki

Mr. Wierzbicki was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on May 23, 1940. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 1961 with a Bachelor Science of Pharmacy and was a pharmacist his entire life.

He was a member of the Stillwater Rotary Club, the Knights of Columbus, a volunteer for Payne County Health Center, and the proprietor of Rebel and Associates Carriage Company. Joseph loved his family, camping, fishing and providing for his Clydesdale horse named Rebe.

Members of his family include his beloved wife Doris whom he married on August 1, 1980. He is also survived by his children: John Mouring and fiancé Jeanne; Stan and Marsha Wierzbicki; Kathy and Rodney Franey; Dawn Gregor; Joseph Wierzbicki; Paul and Paula Mouring; Lisa Wesnesky; Chris Mouring; Michael and Angie Wierzbicki and Matt and Suzanne Wierzbicki; and his eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His brother Robert Visbisky, Tampa, Fl.

He is predeceased by his first wife Patricia (Markowski) Wierzbicki, who died in 1967. His sister Pearl Hrinko of Scranton PA and brother Vince Visbisky of Dickson City, PA also predecease him.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
