Clyde Matheson Jr of Ingalls, Oklahoma, 91, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 5th, 2019 with his family by his side. He spent his lifetime in construction building houses and his later years pumping oil wells.

He met the love of his life, Nancy Caroline Harper at Stonewall, Oklahoma. They married 2-29-1948 and were married 71 years. They were blessed with five children, nine grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents. Clyde Matheson Sr and Della Mae Hart, and one daughter, Priscilla Gale Matheson.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Caroline, son Roger Matheson and Linda, Ingalls; son Richard Matheson and Charlotte, Stillwater; daughter Janet Coakley and Joe, Perkins; and daughter Judy Stanbery and John, Ingalls. Brothers: Bill Matheson, Max Matheson and Robert Matheson. Sisters: Grace Lindman, Elsie Pittman, and Rosella Crouse.
Clyde served in the Navy during World War II. He settled in Ingalls and has farmed the land for 70 years. Clyde enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working his pecan groves. He was happiest while on the 4-wheeler working his cattle. He always had a joke and a smile, food on the table, and coffee in the pot. All were welcomed.
Services will be held November 9th at Calvary Assembly of God, Stillwater Oklahoma at 1:00 PM Burial will be Ingalls Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chad Matheson, Stoney Matheson, John Stanbery, Dusty Matheson, Shawn Matheson, Jamey Matheson, and Joseph Coakley. Honorary Pallbearers: Brooke Matheson and Katie Graves.
