Obituary

John C. Belusko, age 68, of Morrison, passed away peacefully at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 7, 2019. A rosary service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma with the funeral mass to follow at 10:30 a.m.
John fought a courageous, hard, and long battle with leukemia and aplastic anemia. John never complained, was never afraid, and was at peace with his life and God.
He was born in McAlester, Oklahoma on May 16, 1951 to John S. and Rosalie (Nix) Belusko. John attended school in Hartshorne, Oklahoma and graduated with the class of 1969. After graduation he worked as a state meat inspector until 1974. He then started working for OG &E as a control operator, where he retired in 2004 after 30 years of service.
His greatest passion in life was his love for family and the outdoors. He loved sitting on the river bank fishing, as well as deer, duck and goose hunting. He was known as the “goose eliminator” where he resided.
Members of his family include Judy Belusko, his loving wife and soulmate of 45 years; his daughter Karla Burch and husband Frank; his son John Erick and his daughter Allison Marie and John’s girlfriend Sarah Otto and her two sons Hayden and Ryan; his brothers Greg and wife Sheri and Tom and wife Janna; and his sister Helen King and husband Jack. Other family members include his uncles Jimmy and Johnnie Nix, his aunt Chris Bryant, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John was predeceased by his parents and his father and mother-in-law Konrad and Elizabeth Husmann.
As John was a devout Catholic, those wishing to honor John’s memory may do so by making memorial contributions to either Boys Town or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
