Raymond Henry Meisinger, 94, of Perkins, Oklahoma passed away December 21, 2019 at the Noble Health Care Center in Noble, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater on Friday December 27, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. with burial to follow at Carney Cemetery in Carney, Oklahoma.

Ray was born to Fred and Amolia (Geis) Meisinger on the family farm north of Gill, Colorado on September 21, 1925. He was the youngest of four children. Ray's family moved from Gill to LaSalle, Colorado in 1937. He graduated from Greeley High School in 1943. On May 9, 1948 Ray married the love of his life, Charlene Joy Liebenau, in LaSalle. They had 55 happy years together until her passing in 2003.
Ray farmed first south of LaSalle and then later south of Kersey. He also worked additional jobs to support his family. In 1976 he sold his farm in Colorado and moved to Perkins, Oklahoma. In Perkins he worked first at the Cimarron Valley Coop, next at Ralph's Packing Company, and then for the Agronomy Department of Oklahoma State University. He retired from OSU in 1989.
Ray enjoyed visiting with family and his many friends, showing them pictures, and telling stories about his life and experiences. He was very proud of his Germans from Russia heritage. He will be greatly missed.
Ray is survived by; his daughter, JoAnn Smith and husband Paul, his son, Mike Meisinger and wife Kim, his grandchildren; Becky Smith, Holly Nivens, Adam Meisinger, and Alex Meisinger, and his great-grandchildren; Sam and Molly Hoyt. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Charlene, his sisters; Mary Nieberger, Olga Weigand, brother; Harold Meisinger, and a granddaughter, Juliet Meisinger.
