Kirby Elliot Spickler, 78, died Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, OK. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2019 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Spickler was born December 7, 1941, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Elliot and Alyce (Cochran) Spickler. His family moved to Blair, Nebraska where he spent his childhood through his high school years.
Shortly after high school, Mr. Spickler honorably served as an airman in the U.S. Air Force towards the end of the Vietnam War.
He would later marry and raise two daughters in Stillwater, OK where he held various jobs including construction, iron working, security, in addition to working for the City of Stillwater. Along with his work commitments, he was a longtime member of the local Moose Lodge chapter.
Throughout his life, Mr. Spickler was an avid reader. He kept an active life by going fishing, as well as, playing softball and golf. He enjoyed watching all athletic events, from his daughters’ activities to collegiate competitions. He was always the life of the party and loved making other people laugh.
He leaves his daughter, Toni (Spickler) Rush and her husband Jay Rush; his daughter, Shannan Spickler; his ex-wife, Vina Spickler; four grandchildren, Ganon, William, Xavier and Mia Rush; and many close friends.
