Claudia Lynn Sawyer, 63, of Stillwater passed away on January 3, 2020.

She was born in Henderson, Texas on April 16th, 1956, to the late Clark and Mary Jackson. Claudia graduated from Central High School in Tulsa in 1974 and married the love of her life, Patrick Sawyer, the same year. Claudia and Patrick spent 39 beautiful years together in Alaska and Oklahoma.
During her time in Alaska, Claudia enjoyed hunting and exploring the state’s natural beauty. She was an exceptional mother and friend, a gifted artist, musician, cook, and enjoyed pursuing numerous creative activities. She was very passionate about volunteering at Life Church in Stillwater. Claudia earned her associate degree from Northern Oklahoma College in 2013 and was an instructor for the Center for Early Childhood Professional Development through the University of Oklahoma.
Claudia positively impacted those she met through her tenacious optimism and compassion. She was an advocate for those in need and spent her time helping any person she could. Through her example of love and unending patience, Claudia built a legacy that will continue beyond her passing. Claudia and Patrick were blessed with five children: David, Katie, Amanda and her husband James, Steven and his partner Megan, and Megan and her husband Peter. She was also blessed with several grandchildren: Alice, Finn, Fletcher, Liv, and one more on the way.
Claudia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Patrick Sawyer, as well as her brother, David Jackson, and sister-in-law, Johnna Jackson.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, brother Randall Jackson, sister Kathy Louis and brother-in-law Jim Louis, and sister-in-law Vicki Jackson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and
A celebration of Claudia’s life will be held at Life Church on January 17th at 2 o’clock. It
is located at 1917 N Country Club Rd, Stillwater, OK 74075. Any and all are welcome to attend.
