My Dear Aunt Ethyl, I remember you, as a little girl you were there and throughout my life you’ve reached out to me, to be close, advise me, befriend me and love me. My Auntie Ethyl always had a welcoming, warm smile with a beautiful face. So gentle to me, always glad to see me, hugged me close. We enjoyed letters, cards and phone calls since we lived far from each other but, every time I came back to Oklahoma, it was as if I was never left. Auntie was a talented seamstress and gardener with a very green thumb, loved flowers and plants. Her garden had all kinds of whirly things, little statues making it also a fun garden. I know in her life she got to travel to other states and had many stories of the places she traveled. Early in her life, she worked in offices in Oklahoma City. It was always a pleasure talking with her, she was aware of current events, local events and of our history; therefore, it was also a learning experience when we had conversations. She was a wise teacher. Auntie had a quick walk, quick wit, loved bingo. Miss, miss, miss you already. Love, love, love you Aunt Ethyl. xoxo Love, Niece Donna

Words cannot express how much I will miss your sweet, beautiful soul! My heart is broken because I loved you so and will cherish every visit we spent sharing stories, talking about the language and just laughing, being silly. Thank you for always putting my family on a pedestal, and all your kindhearted, loving words you expressed for all of us and always being a source of encouragement for my children. Thank you for your support and help with the language department and expressing your pride in all of us. Our plans of playing more dice, hitting the archery range, telling our winter stories and traveling to Pipestone were cut short, but we shall meet again and enjoy all those things and more! Prayers for your loving and caring son, Perri. May the love and light you had within safely carry you on your journey. Mahire, rigruhinje, warigroxi ki!
