Norma Lee (Nelson) Rhoads, 90, passed from this life on June 9, 2020 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Calvary Assembly of God in Stillwater, OK. Her burial will be at 4:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, OK. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Woodward, OK. on November 11, 1929 to Roy and Pearl Opal (Shobert) Nelson. Norma was raised in that area and attended Woodward schools. Later, in 1975, she proudly earned her GED. She married J. Russell Rhoads on February 1, 1946 in Woodward and enjoyed volunteering at hospitals in Enid and Woodward. As a member of the Assembly of God Church, she taught Sunday School for over 60 years and won Teacher of the Year.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Roy and Pearl Nelson; daughter, Teresa Rabe; sister, Connie Campbell; brother, Butch Nelson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her husband, J. Russell Rhoads; children, Ralph Rabe of Fargo, OK., Mona Sholtess of Enid, OK., Karen Mills of Broken Arrow, OK., and Rusty (Rita) Rhoads of Stillwater, OK.; grandchildren, Christie (Clay) File, Ronnie Rabe, Bryon Stevens, Sherrie (Jason) Sholtess, Dustin (Lacey) Sholtess, Rocky Rhoads, Richelle (Joel) Wingo , and Robyn (Jason) Stanley. Great-grandchildren, Cole File, Cami File, Seth Parks, Destiny Parks, Kaylee Parks, Josey Sholtess, Ava Wingo, Emma Wingo, Eli Wingo, Logan Stanley, Anniston Stanley, Remington Stanley and a great-great-grandchild arriving in December, and her siblings, Janet Greer, Denny (Carole) Nelson and Mike (Anita) Nelson.
Serving as pallbearers are Bryon Stevens, Ronnie Rabe, Dustin Sholtess, Rocky Rhoads, Cole File, and Seth Parks. Honorary pallbearers are Clay File, Jason Parks, Joel Wingo, and Jason Stanley.
