She was born on September 29, 1923 in Afton, Oklahoma to Charles and Mabel Livingston. She married Edward Lee Granstaff on September 24, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Friends and Family of Marcia most likely saw how gracious she was - intelligent, organized, talented in so many ways, and beautiful too. She understood her own value only as it served those around her.
Relationship mattered most to her. She lived 97 years, always close to her 3 loving sisters and their families; was a wife for 67 years, a mother for 70 years, a grandmother for 40 years and a great- grand mother for 9 years. With exceptional energy, she dedicated her skills for organization and hospitality to manage her home and in a supporting role for her husband’s career achievements. Her remarkable talent in sewing and crochet became everything from stuffed flannel bunnies to draperies and wedding dresses, baby booties to glorious afghans. Every item cherished by her loved ones.
Marcia and her husband Ed were faithful. They inspired faith and hope in their children and grandchildren by providing the safety of stability, honesty, and consistent love and support.
Her children, Bill, Kristen and Mike recognize the rare gift that is such a mother. We feel blessed and grateful and hope that these paragraphs will shine a light on Marcia Livingston Granstaff.
She is survived by son, William E. Granstaff, of Oklahoma City; son, Michael P. Granstaff and wife Julie, of Prairie Village, Kansas; daughter, Kristen J. Granstaff, and husband Joseph of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, four grandsons, Daniel and David Sparks, Jonathan and Jackson Granstaff, and three great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Owen, and Louis Sparks.
