Rochelle Ann Lewis, age 83, of Perkins, Oklahoma, was born March 14, 1937 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Oral Raymond and Martha Irene (Wilson) Gordon. She passed away Monday, August 17, 2020. Graveside funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma under the direction of Strode Funeral Home and Cremation.

Rochelle was married to Charles Dugger in 1956, then married Chet Irwin Lewis on June 22, 1968. She was employed as a nurse until her retirement in 2003, and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Perkins, Oklahoma.
She enjoyed going to rodeo’s and taking Tara to all the barrel races they could get to, and even served as the 89er Queen during the 1955 Guthrie 89er Celebration and the Pawhuska Cavalcade. She was a terrific seamstress who loved to crochet, and also had fun eating and hiding Snicker and almond Hershey Bars from her sisters. Rochelle loved her community and for over 30 years she dedicated herself to growing 60+ acres of hay for the surrounding farms. She loved getting to visit and catch up with friends as they came to buy her hay every summer. She was particularly fond of country music and especially loved Conway Twitty.
She is predeceased by her grandparents Frank and Norma Wilson; her parents; and her husbands.
Members of her family include her son Tommy Dugger; her daughter Tara Peters and husband Michael; her sisters Verla Helberg and husband Robert, Lynda Gordon, Dayna Stambeck, and Debbie Gordon Musil and husband Troy. She also leaves behind her granddaughter Nacole Price; her grandsons Cody Peters, Jarrod Mead, and Justin Schultz; her great-grandson Kaycen Price; nephews Bryan Stambeck and wife JaRee, and Ryan Helberg and wife Heather; her niece Kerri Rexroad and husband Nash; great-nephews J.T. Stambeck, Colton Rexroad, Brody Rexroad, and Jaden Helberg; and her great-neice Lauren Stambeck.
