Judith “Judi” Christine Powell Tarlton passed from this life on September 3, 2020 at her home in Stillwater, OK at the age of 72 years. A come-and-go reception for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 311 W. 29th Ave. in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on September 8, 1948 in Hayden, Colorado to Bert L. and Deawn O. Rae Powell. Ray Eugene Tarlton became her husband on January 15, 1985 in Centerville, Texas. Perkins, Oklahoma was her home from 1990 to 1998 at which time she moved to Stillwater where she resided until her death. Judith worked as a cosmetologist for many years and later retired from OSU Physical Plant in 2011. Bowling and cruising were her hobbies and she particularly enjoyed time spent with family.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; stepmother Pauline Powell; sons Mickie Murray and Kenny Tarlton; grandsons Doltan Murray and Roger (Bubba) Porter; and sisters Sharon Rich and Donna Jones.
Surviving her are daughters Gayla Parker (Robert) and Sonya Dawes (Shane); grandchildren Heather Dodson (Eric), Rebekah Bryant (Chris), Brent Johnson (Kenya), Anastasia Murray (Trevor), Jenifer Wood (Jack), Alan Tarlton, Brandy Braden (LeWayne), Brandon Tarlton, Aaron (Re Re) Tarlton (Lauren), Edward Culie (Jessica), Michael Culie (Sarah), Robert Culie and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister Susan Friesner; brother Randy Rich, special cousins Kirk and Craig Powell, Kelly Powell, Julie Goldsmith, Kim McCarty and Steve
Hoffman; and special friends Lynda Dean and Elaine and Marvin Bartlett.
