The Payne County Fair hasn’t been the same without the remarkable Mary Silvers. Her beautiful smile, kind demeanor, energy and organizational skills made her the face of the fair. She and her husband raised an outstanding family which contributed so much to this community. She’ll be missed.

I am saddeded to read about Mary. I met her when she worked as the receptionist at Board of Education Building. She was an excellent employee -- always welcoming for any visitors to the Board Building. I always appreciated also all of her work for the fair each year. My condolences to Mary's family.
