Arley James Kent, 28, of Greasewood, Arizona, passed away on September 28, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Arley was surrounded by her Grandma Jennifer James, her aunts Alvera Begay, Victoria Koshiway, Angela Barnett, and sister Alyssa Haley. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Arley was an enrolled member of the Ioway Tribe and a member of the Navajo Nation. Arley loved her children and her family. She had a close relationship with Aunt Alvera “Jennie” Begay. Arley was an OSU fan. She was known for her loud laughter. True meaning to LOL Arley was born on May 20, 1992 in Ft. Defiance, Arizona to Frank and Elvira Kent. On November 24, 1996 Arley welcomed her little brother “Baby” Frank.
She was preceded in death by her infant son Frank Kent IV; brother “Baby” Frank Kent III; mother Elvira Kent; Grandmothers Ruby James and Victoria (Bassett) Kent.
She is survived by her children Bralyn Begay, 9, and Kendra Begay, 7, of White Cone, Arizona; her father Frank Kent Jr. of Perkins, Oklahoma; grandmothers Martha Koshiway, Mary Howry, and Linda Francis of Red Rock, Oklahoma; Jennifer James of Greasewood, Arizona; fiance’ Calbert Edgewater of Greasewood, Arizona.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Haley, Cory DeRoin, Shawn Franklin, Gary Franklin, Ron Haley, and Jobie Howell.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Harlen Charley, Manuel Charley, Emmanuel Charley, Tommie Begay, Monte Varde Begay, Manley Begay, Deswood Koshiway, George Koshiway, Jim Selby, Jon Haley, Dustin Francis and Wilbur Enloe.
Wake services – Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Otoe Baptist Church in Red Rock, Oklahoma.
Traditional Noon Feast will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Otoe Baptist Church in Red Rock, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cemetery. She will be buried by her brother, “Baby” Frank.
Pastor Jimmy Kenner will officiate her service.
