Obituary

Susie Enola Marshall went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2020 in comfort of her home. There will be a viewing Thursday, November 19, 2020 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK. A small funeral will be held for immediate family at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2020. After the funeral, a graveside service will be begin at 2:45 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Perkins, OK for all extended family and friends. Her service will be live-streamed from her personal obituary page at strodefh.com Masks are strongly encouraged and recommended.

She was born February 5, 1935. She was born in Carney, OK along with eight other siblings. She met the love of her life Paul Edward Marshall in 1963 at the High-Low restaurant where she waitressed. They married in 1965 and later started their life on the Marshall homestead in Perkins, OK. Susie was Paul’s right hand helper and friend. She lived her life serving her family. She was a hard worker, dedicated to perfection. Never a still moment until 9:00 p.m. when her and Paul would sit down with their black walnut ice cream. After Paul died, and several years passed, Susie developed dementia which slowly began to rob her of her life. She fought a long time and found joy in her kids, grandchild, and great-grandchildren.

Susie is preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward Marshall; six siblings; and two grandsons.

She will be remembered by her two children J.R. Hurst and Cathey Rampy; granddaughters Chandra Tucker and her husband, Jennifer Coty and her husband; and her five great-grandchildren.

Condolences may be sent to the family and an online obituary may be viewed by visiting www.strodefh.com.

I remember Susie that you were always so cheerful and upbeat. Every time I would come back and visit Cathey at Christmas time, we would always visit and talk. You would always ask how my family was doing. We will miss you dearly Susie.
