Sandra Kay Slovak passed from this life on November 21, 2020 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 76. Her rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and her Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with her burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her Funeral Mass will be live-streamed from https://www.sfxstillwater.org/. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Sandra was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on August 6, 1944 to Douglas K. and Carol Louise Penix. She married Edwin Slovak on June 7, 1962 in Stillwater
Oklahoma University was where she earned her degree in nursing that allowed her to serve as a registered nurse and BSN. She loved the Lord and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church held her membership.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Slovak; daughter Michelle Slovak; and her brother Jay Penix.
Sandra is lovingly remembered by her sons Doug (Tina) Slovak and Brian (Angela) Slovak; five grandchildren Kayla Slovak, Kara (Golden) Cooper, Kendall (Courtni) Slovak, Gage Slovak, Grace Slovak; two great-grandchildren Ellie Cooper and Maddie Slovak; two sisters Carol (James) Wallace and Gail (Larry) Jelinek.
Pallbearers will be Kendall Slovak, Gage Slovak, Kayla Slovak, Grace Slovak, Alan Kindt, and Ed Lawson.
