John W. Mutteloke Jr., age 72, of Shawnee, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Iowa Tribal Cemetery.
John was born June 6, 1948 in Bristow, Oklahoma to John and Mary (Kent) Mutteloke. He was first married to Gail Mutteloke, then after a divorce was married to Jessie Johnson in 1992.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma. He enjoyed working in his yard and around his home.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Solomon Kent, his parents, and his nephew Sterling Knight Jr.
Members of his family include his wife Jessie; his children Solomon Mutteloke and wife Lissa, Dustin Mutteloke and wife Toni, Camron Mutteloke, Stacie Mutteloke, Isaiah Elliot, Ira Quackenbush, and Jennifer Dryden; his grandchildren Kennedy, Daisy, Lillian, Faith, Elizabeth, Alexandria, and Alexander; and his sister Sandra Dee Baldwin.
