Tina was born in Stillwater Oklahoma in 1968 to Ralph and Linda Sweeny, the eldest of six
children. She was raised in Stillwater and graduated from Ripley High school in 1986. Tina was a huge OSU Cowboys fan, attending many events to support the university as well as Stillwater Public Schools. Tina went on to receive a BS in Nursing and was the Director or Nursing at Southern Oaks Care Center in Pawnee. Tina had five children, Cody, Eric,Jake, Matthew and Margaret. She was also a grandmother of six.
She is survived by her children as well as her parents Ralph and Linda Sweeny and her siblings; Jack, Shawn, Dawn, Christy and Rebecca. Her grandchildren; Payton, Tripp, Keegan, Elana, Kolbie and Dakota.
She will be remembered as a tireless supporter of patient rights as well as care for the elderly and had recently been honored with a Governor’s Commendation for her tireless efforts in patient care during the Covid Pandemic.
A private memorial service will be held for the family on January 26, 2021 at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home, a recording will be made available to friends on the Strode Funeral Home website after the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tina’s honor to the Northern Oklahoma College School of Nursing.
