Tina was not only a passionate nurse advocate for her patients and residents, but a great advocate for the Practical Nursing program at Meridian Technology Center. As a student she was an eager and focused on her goals. As a graduate, she continued to be a proponent of the program and was an asset to our program any time her assistance was needed. Her influence on our students and everyone she worked with will be greatly missed.

Growing up, I remember back when Tina was in high school, and I was probably late elementary/middle school, watching her put on her makeup. I remember being in awe of her and how pretty she was. As the younger cousin with no older sister, I sort of always looked up to Tina like a "big sister." She was the queen of AquaNet, had the best feathered hair in the 80's. And really, it's not about how beautiful she was on the outside. She had a huge heart and loved her family. She was a firecracker, full of personality.
Over the years, as we all take on our own lives, move away, lose touch, I only kept up with Tina via social posts through our family. But I admired from afar how she became a nurse and cared for people. I'm certain she was a light to many people in times when they needed her. I was devastated to hear the news. I'm grateful for the memories of our younger days.

My heart is breaking with grief over my wonderful friend's passing. I can only imagine how the family is feeling. She was a wonderful, compassionate woman and finally found her calling in nursing, always taking care of someone. My families' prayers & hugs go out to all her family, especially since we share blood in her son's. May God bless you and help you find peace at this time and forward. Laurice Wilson
