Known as "Bud" or "Art" by friends and family, passed away at the age of 93 peacefully in his sleep in Perkins, Oklahoma on January 31, 2021. Arthur was born to Arthur Miles and Ollie Izola (Webb) Brown in Pawnee, Oklahoma on October 15th 1927. He was one of 8 children and is survived by 2 brothers Darrell Brown of Sapulpa, OK and Kellis Brown of Sperry, Ok. and is also survived by many nieces and nephews who love Uncle Bud.

Bud graduated from in Stillwater High School and after graduating he enlisted in the United States Army. during WW II and later served again during the Korean war as a Military Police Officer. After returning home from military service, he learned to lay bricks and became a Union brick layer with Local 5. He worked as a brick layer for 43 years. He worked on many buildings on the OSU campus. He also worked in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Ponca City and various other cities in Oklahoma. After retirement from brick laying, he enjoyed hobbies such as wood working, fishing, and traveling with his wife Ruth.
While working in Ponca City he met his wife Ruth E. Dickson and they were married on June 20, 1953. His wife passed in January 2005 after 51 years of marriage. Out of the marriage 2 children were born, a son Michael and a daughter Roberta. Bud's children both survive him. Son Mike and wife Vicki Brown of Perkins, OK.; and daughter Roberta Brown-Fanning and life partner Duane Fanning of Ripley, OK. He is also survived by two grandsons Kevin and wife Josie Brown of Omaha, NE (son of Mike and Vicki Brown) and Edward Brown of Stillwater (son of Roberta Brown-Fanning and Duane). He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, Jareth K. Brown son of Edward Brown of Oklahoma City. Mason Flint, and Ronni Elaine son and daughter of Kevin and Josie Brown of Omaha, Nebraska.
Funeral Services to be held graveside at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, OK. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. where he will be interned next to his wife Ruth Elaine Brown.
