I will never forget the way your mom welcomed me into her home! Looking back, I can see that she always went above and beyond to make my stays with you guys comfortable and fun, but she never made me feel like it was any hassle at all. She was so fun, and warm, and made everyone at ease around her. Her hospitality was truly the best I have ever experienced. You could not help but see the fruit of the Spirit in her life...so much kindness, joy, love, gentleness, and peace. I remember her telling me of how she used to pray for patience...and then she learned that the definition of patience was 'endurance made by fiery testing'! That comment has always made me look twice in studying Scripture, and her faith was a beautiful example to all who knew her. She was so creative and showed me the decorations she made out of pool noodles. She shared that she had been praying for a good idea that was fun and affordable...that was such a great lesson for me in inviting the Holy Spirit into practical, daily parts of life and I have often said prayers inspired by that moment. She also made the very first enchiladas I ever had!
Thank you Mindy, for the warmth and love you always shared with me! Celebrating for all the joys you are now experiencing in Heaven and that we will see you again!

Mindy was a special person in my life. I have always loved telling people that my dad's youngest sister is only 6 years older than me. Growing up, I remember going to Grandpa and Grandma's and playing with Mindy; she seemed more like a cousin than an aunt, but her status still endeared respect from me and I was enamored with the fact that Dad had a little sister who was close to my age. I remember when Mindy grew up and lived on her own. I thought it was so neat to go visit her in her own house. Later, Mindy and I connected on a completely different level as we started having children around the same time. Laurence was born 9 months after my oldest daughter, and Mindy and I were pregnant at the same time in 1988, her with Josh and Amanda and I with my oldest son. Mindy welcomed Amy 2 years after my second son was born. Through the years, we enjoyed watching our children play together and experience family ties. I greatly admired the way Mindy cared for my grandparents, first in her home, then as their primary caregiver during their nursing home years. Her task was not easy and I know my dad was extremely proud of her for her willingness to honor and care for their parents. I always enjoyed the times Dad and Mindy would get together because of their spirited and deep conversations, usually about the Lord. They were kindred spirits in many ways and it was a blessing to see them interact as adult siblings - the oldest child and the youngest, bound by their mutual love of their family, but mostly by their love for the Lord. I have been the recipient of Mindy's compassionate listening on many occasions. In fact, I recently recalled a time when Mindy provided me support during a rough time and she never even knew how precious her conversation was to me. I had planned on having a conversation with her soon and telling her about that day - her faith in me literally pulled me out of a situation that could have had tragic results. She never knew how God placed her in my life at just the right time but God did and He planned that she would be my close in age aunt and a trusted friend throughout my life. I will miss Aunt Mindy with all my heart but I rejoice that she is now part of the cloud of witnesses watching the rest of our family run the race. I will see her again and that brings me much comfort. I love you, Aunt Mindy. Thanks for being one of my constants for 54 years.

I knew that Mindy was an amazing woman and Mother before I ever actually met her! First I met her children while working for Stillwater Public School System, at Highland Park Elementary! The Milinkovich children were so very well behaved and smart and when they became our neighbors years later I met Mindy and knew where they got it from! Her baby the youngest and my only daughter became best buddy’s at age 4 and 5 so that’s when we formally introduced our selves to each other! She was a warm and welcomed friend to our family and helped instill the Christian faith to our daughter! It takes a village and she was there to extend blessings to everyone! She will be missed by all and she will be fondly remembered by all!!! Sincere sympathy and prayers for peace to all of her family!🙏
