Pamela Sue Williamson Havenhill, 69, of Yale, OK passed away peacefully on June 17, 2021 at Stillwater Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel, 610 S. Duncan, Stillwater, OK and will be live-streamed from her personal obituary page at .

Pam was born on March 21, 1952 in Cherokee, OK to Bill and Ruby Williamson, and was the youngest of four children. She attended Beaver High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball, and graduated in 1970.

The following year she married Craig McElroy on January 23, 1971. Their first child, a daughter, Wendy, was born later that year, on August 13, 1971. Eight years later they completed their family with a son, Curtis, born on November 28, 1979.

Pam was an active and proud Navy wife while the family was stationed in San Diego for 20 years. She served as Ombusdman for the U.S.S McClusky FFG-41 and COMPHIBRON 9. During wartime she was a member of the Family Support Team. She received many recognitions and awards for her service. She was also president of the Cabrillo Heights Navy Housing Community Council. She served during the planning stages of a complete remodel of the housing complex. While raising her children she was a professional cake decorator, owned a balloon business, and was a Brownie Troop leader in her spare time.

In 1994 she moved to Oklahoma to be near her parents and family. She started a career in the medical field where she met and later married her second husband, retired U.S. Marine and Vietnam Veteran, Gregory Havenhill in July of 2011.

Pam loved to craft, sew, bake, and shop. She enjoyed decorating her house for every holiday, and making homemade gifts for everyone, especially children. She loved watching football and was a big fan of the San Diego Chargers and the OU Sooners.

She was most proud of being a Nannaw to her 6 grandchildren and loved attending their birthday parties, special milestones, and sporting events.

She was preceded in death by her husband Greg Havenhill, her parents, Bill and Ruby Williamson, her sister Norma Williamson, her brother Ed Williamson, and her niece Cindy Shive.

She is survived by her daughter Wendy Marquis and her husband Ed, their three children, Trey, Marley and Cali of California; son Curtis McElroy and his wife Alicia, their three children, Aspen, Wyatt, and Jake of Oklahoma; and her older sister Melba Williamson of Texas.

Pamela lived a full and wonderful life. She is loved so very much and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Nannaw was always at the all the parties with a smile , and yummy food.. She treated everyone as family .. I remember this last easter my Grandson David came with me to the Easter Family get together and Nannaw made him a basket and she had never even met him.. it touched my heart that she thought of him as her own grandchild. She touched people's lives without even knowing it.. She will be greatly missed by all of her family.

Pam was one of a kind. She was a living dynamo! There was nothing this girl could not do! For such a tiny little thing, she did everything! Pam truly made my family her family. Our husbands were on the same ship so we became so close, I just loved her parents Ruby and Bill! Ruby made my girls dolls! who does that? Family! everytime Wendy got something, so would my girls! And they did not forget my boys either! Just this past Sunday i was telling our daughter Jena of the first Westpac when Pam and I were so lucky to have each other. I had a pound of hamburger left and so did Pam., to last us for a week! She cooked one night, I cooked one night, then we ate oatmeal, pancakes, sandwiches... whatever. But we made it until payday ..with each other. That's what Navy families did and still do... When we left California, we drove straight to Oklahoma to see Pam and the kids! We sure did love her! We will see her again, on the other side. Until then Pam, love you.. Joanne
