Charlene was born near Glencoe, OK to Charles Nelson and Winnie Fay (Skidgel) Lazenby. She attended Glencoe High School and that is where a classmate introduced her to Kenneth Klutsenbaker. She and Kenneth married and made their home in Stillwater. They were married for 71 years and had two daughters, Sharon and Kendra. During those years Charlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was always ready to help her friends and never seemed to meet a stranger. She attended First Baptist Church in Stillwater and worked for the Stillwater Public Schools in the cafeteria. During their retirement they spent much of their time at grandchildren’s activities and she was their biggest fan. In her later years, she and Kenneth moved to Golden Oaks Village where she made many friends among the residents and the staff members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Norma Raupe, and brother John Lazenby Sr.
