Jay Talley, known as Paco to his grandchildren, of Acuff, TX passed away on Thursday July 15, 2021, at the age of 75. A celebration of life ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 22 at Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater, OK with graveside services following at Salem Cemetery. Services to be conducted by Strode Funeral Home of Stillwater, OK.

He was born December 6, 1945 to JD and Alma Talley in Lubbock, TX. Jay graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1964 and married Pam in 1971. They have a son Justin Talley and his spouse Denise Talley of Stillwater, OK with three grandchildren Jamison, Julius and Synnove. Surviving nieces are Rose Johnson of Lubbock, TX and Nita Johnson of Cincinnati, OH and a nephew Bill Johnson of Lubbock, TX. He was an active member in his community and served on the Roosevelt School Board for several years. He was a cotton farmer who enjoyed being in community with fellow cotton farmers at the Acuff-McClung Gin. Jay and Pam recently moved to Stillwater, OK to be closer to their grandchildren and were members of Salem Lutheran Church where they enjoy fellowship with other members in bible study and worship.
He is preceded in death by parents: J.D. and Alma Talley, sisters: Shirley Talley and Margaret Johnson.
