Bob Lambert, age 69 died of complications due to Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) on July 18, 2021, in Oklahoma City, OK. The Rosary/Wake will be at Christ the King Catholic Church, in Oklahoma City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021, 8005 Dorset Dr. Oklahoma City, OK 73120. The Funeral will be held at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning, July 23, 2021, 711 North Country Club Rd. Stillwater, OK 74075 under the direction of Strode Funeral Home and Cremation.

Bob was born on August 30, 1951 in Stillwater, OK, to parents Clarence and Ruth. He attended OSU and studied construction management, working in the family business for many years.

Bob found real happiness and contentment when he met Kathy, in 1992. They married one year later bringing together Bob’s daughters from a previous marriage, Anne and Susan, and Kathy’s children, Chris, Jon, Anna, and Emily. In 2018, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with all of their children and grandchildren at Big Cedar Lodge, in Branson. MO, a destination that was near and dear to Bob for the nature and fishing.

Bob enjoyed all types of fishing and doing projects in his workshop. Decorating the house seasonally with Kathy and sending incredible holiday boxes to each of their children. Since the beginning of their marriage Date night was every Tuesday – he loved the popcorn more than the movies they saw.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Ruth and his siblings Nancy (Zellers) and Bill.
He is survived by his siblings Carolyn (Buser), David, Mary (McCoy), Mike, and Rick Lambert. Papa loved his fourteen grandchildren - Austin & Charlie Fuhrman of Oklahoma City, Marie & Karleigh Fuhrman of Frisco, TX, Megan, Nathan and Avery Zike of Blanchard, OK, Kate, Jack and Abby Gable of Frisco, TX, Ottillie and Amelia Boyle of Chicago, IL, and Olivia, Lola, and Eliza Propp of New York City, most of whom were old enough to be entertained with stories of his pet rhino and eat his homemade vanilla ice cream on hot summer days at Yost. The in-law/outlaws, Molly Fuhrman, Jessica Fuhrman, Josh Gable, Craig Boyle, and Jamie Propp look forward to carrying on these legacies.

Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, was President of the Stillwater Jaycee’s, was a member of the AGC (American General Contractors). He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity, of which his father, Clarence, was a charter member at OSU. He was a member of St. John and St. Francis Catholic Church, in Stillwater and was a member of the Parish Council.

He was an avid OSU fan and longtime season ticket holder. He will be remembered by all for his sense of humor and his warm and loving heart.

He always told people he wished that he had been born rich instead of so darned good looking. The richness came in the depth of love, faith, and wonderful relationships with Kathy, the kids, grandkids, and lifelong friendships.

Godspeed Bob Lambert, we love you TTFA (today, tomorrow, forever, and always)
Donations can be made in Bob’s honor to AFTD Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration ( or to AFTD, 2700 Horizon Drive, Suite 120 King of Prussia, PA 19406.

Kathy and family I am so sorry for your loss. At the same time I'm glad Bob is relieved of his struggles. I first met Bob as a next door neighbor around 1980. Over the years he became such a good friend and fishing buddy. From Sooner lake, to Keystone lake, to Homer Alaska we had some great times regardless of whether we caught anything. I will always have good memories of Bob. He truly was a good man.

Unbelievable! We finally secured a loan, got a house, a car and our medical bills have just been settled with ease. My husband and I are supper excited. All thanks to CYBER CREDIT GURU a trusted and reliable hacking specialist, they made it possible by removing all derogatory, hard injuries, evictions, late payments from my husband’s credit report and also increased his credit score from 501 to 802, and are currently working on mine. I can’t stop appreciating you guys. I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional hacker, these guys are good. In August 1969 I met Bob Lambert at St Gregory's Jr College. We were playing touch football and from there started our friendship.
Bob had some of his high school friends stop by and we all went out to celebrate his birthday.

Bob and his friends introduced me, a east coast guy to Stickies pizza and how Oklahomans jumped up and sing OKLAHOMA at the drop of a hat. Within a couple of weeks we became room mates and spent our freshman year going to classes and learning to grow up. It was fun sharing the day to day with him. Bob went on to OSU the next year and I followed him the following year. I was privileged to be introduced to his parents and brother and sisters. And their kindness was reflected through Bob as I visited them during my time at OSU. In 1975 Bob was my best man at my Wedding and it was wonderful to share this moment in my life with him there. Over the years we talked, a phone call here and there but as life moves forward room mates loose the connection with time and age. The last time I was able to sit down with Bob was 2017, in his back yard. It was good to see him and my wife Jackie and I enjoyed the time as we reminisced. I am really sad that Bob is not with us today. I wish I could turn the clock back and hear his laugh and hear how is children are doing and remember some of the things we did together at St Greg's. I believe I was lucky to have had Bob as a friend and pray that he is at peace knowing he will be missed by many and that we look forward to seeing him again when our time comes.
